Developed by do-it.org.uk in partnership with volunteering agencies, V-Base is easy to learn and use. It has a range of tools to help you manage your volunteering programme and is the only software that enables you to post your opportunities directly to the do-it.org.uk database of volunteering opportunities.

V-Base has been designed with volunteer infrastructure organisations in mind. There is password protection and different user settings so that access to information can be controlled and privacy protected.

It can be run on a single computer or installed on a local area network so that data can be shared between several users within your organisation.

You don't have to be permanently connected to the internet to use V-Base - rather, opportunities can be posted at regular intervals.

Support

We offer technical support from a dedicated team running the V-Base helpdesk. We can also provide training to help your organisation get the most from V-Base.

Technical requirements

V-Base requires you to be running Microsoft Windows 98 or higher, with Microsoft Office 2000 or higher installed. It is recommended that your PC has at least 128 MB of RAM. You will need an Internet connection and permissions to upload using FTP (If you choose to participate fully in the National Volunteering Database).
