Sign up to our alerts service and get new opportunities delivered straight to your inbox.

What is the alerts service?

The do-it.org.uk database contains over 800,000 opportunities to volunteer and each month thousands of new opportunities are added.

If you're a registered user, this new service allows you to sign up for email alerts which tell you about new and updated opportunities on the database that match your interests and location.

How does it work?

If you're a registered user, or are in the process of registering you can:

  • Specify how often you want to receive an alert (either weekly or fortnightly);
  • Choose to receive updates about any new and updated opportunities in your area;
  • Choose up to three areas of interest and three types of activity.

You will also have complete control over whether you receive alerts or not – you can amend or cancel your alerts at any time.

Why should I sign up?

  • You'll be notified about new volunteering opportunities that match what you're looking for without having to revisit the website and search.
  • You'll know that the opportunities being sent to you are the newest opportunities in the database.

How do I sign up?

The alerts service is only available to registered users. Click on the 'Opportunity Alerts' link in the right-hand column, log in to your account and complete the form. You'll be sent a confirmation email and your first alert email, to confirm you're happy with your choices.
